From reading the other reviews, I can only assume that we caught them on an off day, because our BBQ was absolutely terrible. My husband got the 3 meat platter with brisket, ribs, sausage, creamed corn, and potato salad. I got the 2 meat with brisket, turkey, and macaroni & potato salads, and a slice of lemon pie. I do not exaggerate when I say the ribs were like gnawing on burned wood. The brisket was the same, but tasted more of smoke. The half inch strip along the fat was edible, but even that came back on us for the rest of the night, thank goodness we had antacids. The turkey was decent, thankfully not tough, dried, and black. I didn't try the sausage, it looked good, but I (and my jaws) had had enough. Sauce was thin and too vinegary. Salads were good, but creamed corn was also overcooked and chewy. The pie was good. It was a Saturday evening, maybe we were eating food from the day before, I dunno, but I had a bellyache for the rest of the night. I don't know if it was from the edible parts of our meal, or the fact that we paid $40 for 2 boxes of indigestion.

When we go back to Junction, this place will definitely be avoided.

The place was clean. The young men that waited on us were friendly and polite, but the woman seemed to be in a rotten mood.

This place is well worth stopping at if you're anywhere near the area. The smoked meats and sides are all incredible.

This place had the most authentic BBQ you can find. Everything is homemade which is had to find now a days. I definitely urge anyone passing through to come and try the BBQ. Pork loin and brisket was so juicy. Cream corn was delicious just like my grandma used to make.

Oh Lums, I make sure to stop every time I pass through for San Antonio! Us "locals" near Junction have known about it for years! That's a stop we would make before football games or on school trips back in middle school and through HS. It's a favorite of mine! Such good BBQ and a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend it to anyone driving through

The sign says it all. Best BBQ around. Will drive from San Antonio to get a fix. It’s not just one thing that they do well, either. Ribs, brisket, turkey, sausage, you name it, best I’ve had. Get there before they run out.
