Made a quick stop here for gas and coffee while on a road trip with my boyfriend. While we were picking a snack for the road, an employee confronted us and explained that the associates of the store suspected us of shoplifting and she was instructed to ask us to empty our pockets (which were empty). While this employee was fairly kind, I was offended and embarrassed that we were being watched upon entering. The only reasoning I could imagine they were keeping a close eye on us us because of our ethnicity. We had ALREADY spent $50+ on gas, and were carrying coffee cups and snacks ready to check out, why would they have any other reason to suspect us of stealing? This is the last time we will be stopping at this gas station, and Junction all together. I have no interest in stopping somewhere where the employees seem to be profiling, rather than noticing the obvious: we were paying customers.
